Lux is run by the same folks that own Cafe Weber (397), and has similar themes. There are large, bold pop-art pieces; dark, simple and stylish colour schemes; lounge-style seats, and an atmosphere dedicated to the steady consumption of alcohol in the company of trendy, friendly people listening to well chosen tunes. There's no food to distract from the fun, just a well stocked bar and knowledgeable staff. The crowd is a similar mix of trendy professionals, media folk and musos, but the earlier closing times mean the vibe is a tad more relaxed than at Cafe Weber. But this is still certainly a spot that's worth visiting for a drink, and if Weber is packed you might be more likely to get a pew here.
